Sodium valproate, with a chemical formula of C8H15O2Na and a molecular weight of 166.193, is a broad-spectrum antiepileptic without nitrogen. This product has varying degrees of antagonism to convulsions caused by various methods. It is effective for various types of human epilepsy, such as various types of minor seizures, myoclonic epilepsy, localized seizures, major seizures and mixed epilepsy.
