Avermectin has stomach toxicity and touch killing effect on mites and insects, and cannot kill eggs. The mechanism of action is different from general insecticides in that it interferes with neurophysiological activities and stimulates the release of γ-aminobutyric acid, which has an inhibitory effect on the nerve conduction of arthropods. Adults, nymphs and insect larvae of mites will appear paralyzed after contact with abamectin, do not move, do not feed, and die after 2 to 4 days.
