Agomelatine - another blockbuster drug in the psychiatric category.
Agomelatine, a melatonin analogue, was both the first melatonin receptor agonist and 5-hydroxytryptamine 2C(S-HTX) receptor antagonist. Animal experiments and clinical studies showed that the drug had the effects of anti-depression, anti-anxiety, adjusting sleep rhythm and regulating biological clock, and its adverse reactions were few, and there was no adverse effect on sexual function, and no withdrawal reaction was observed.
