Mebendazole is a broad-spectrum enterozoidal drug, which has been proved to directly inhibit the uptake of glucose by nematodes in vivo and in vitro, leading to the depletion of glycogen and making it unable to survive. Mebendazole has a significant effect of killing larvae and inhibiting the development of eggs, but does not affect the blood glucose level in human body. It can be used for the prevention and treatment of hookworm, roundworm, pinworm, whipworm, fecal nematode and other intestinal parasitic diseases.
1. As an anthelmintic, it is effective for animal gastrointestinal nematodes. It can be used in feed.
2. Enteroworm repellent, effective on ascaris, xiao, whip, hookworm and other intestinal worms, is the preferred antiwhipworm drug.
