Trypsin-Chymotrypsin is the co-crystal of Chymotrypsin and Trypsin so it has the properties of both.
The activity of hydrolyzing casein is as much as Chymotrypsin. But the activity of its Chemotrypsin to hydrolyze N-Benzoyl-L-tyrosine ethyl ester(BTEE)is three times higher than Chemotrypsin. The activity of hydrolyze ester bond similar to that of Trypsin. It is stable when dry and easy to be inactivated in solutions.
In the Clinical, it use for various inflammatory, inflammatory edema, hematoma, postoperative adhesion, ulcer, thrombus and so on and have a certain effect to chronic bronchitis asthma, gastritis, cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, suppurative otitis media, prostatitis, thrombophlebitis and cerebral thrombosis.
Application in modern industrial fields, such as senior leather depilation, softener. As a laboratory analysis reagent, is scientific research institutions widely used.
Animal cell culture of tissue processing.
Some common fixed combinations or protocols involving trypsin include:
Trypsin-EDTA: EDTA (ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid) is added to trypsin, which inhibits calcium-dependent cell adhesion molecules and helps to detach adherent cells from the culture plate.
Trypsin-DMEM: DMEM (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium) is a commonly used basal medium for growing various types of cells in vitro. Combining trypsin with DMEM provides an optimized solution for cell detachment and maintenance of cells in suspension culture.
Trypsin-Bromelain: Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme derived from pineapples that can work synergistically with trypsin to cleave protein bonds. This combination is often used when a harsher proteolytic enzyme mix is needed to degrade specific target proteins.
Trypsin-Lys-C: Lys-C is another protease that can be used in combination with trypsin for protein digestion in mass spectrometry-based proteomics workflows. Typically, this combination can improve sequence coverage of peptides and confidently identify post-translational modifications.
